teamLab Planets Tokyo

On the recommendation of friends I went to teamLab Planets Tokyo. This was a pretty amazing place, the interactive exhibits were Water, Forest, Garden & Air. Water had my favorite exhibit, the interactive Koi pond. The Koi would swim and if interacted with splash into more. They are AI driven, I found just standing in place the Koi would start to swim in circles around my legs. I have another video below from my glasses.

The exhibits ranged from the musical LED lights that could be changed by a downloaded app, Koi fish in water, the forest with snakes and lizards, the hanging orchid room where they rise and lower to create a path for you to walk through, the playground where you go on a slide, cross a room over balls and the garden of moss & silver orb’ish things.

teamLab Planets is a museum where you walk through water, created by art collective teamLab.
The artworks change depending on the presence of people, and the existence of the artworks is continuous with your body and with others. Immerse yourself physically in the massive artwork spaces, perceive them with your body, and become one with the art.
